The piano pop songstress landscape has gotten awfully crowded lately, so it is a bit surprising when one manages to stand out. Such is the case with self-released EP, Help Me! Help Me!, from up-and-coming Lucy Schwartz. The EP is a great five-track introduction to her diverse sound, including a smokey acoustic cover of Aretha Franklin's "Respect". Bouncy "Those Days" is probably the best of the bunch, but there is plenty to love about each of them.
Having already caught the attention of filmmakers and TV music supervisors, you may want to get your hands on this one early. Something tells us that if she is not self-releasing this as a conscious decision, some label is going to scoop her up in a hurry and make this EP disappear until her major label debut hits.
